Questions
What people ask before they come
Do I need a referral?
In Colorado you can start without a referral. If you send a receipt to your own plan, it may still ask for one.
Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?
We do not bill Medicare or other plans. You pay for each visit yourself. Your own plan decides whether it reimburses you for a detailed receipt.
What if I pay myself?
That is how Palm works. We give you a written estimate before your first visit, and you pay for each visit on the day.
How long is a visit, and who treats me?
A first visit is about an hour with a physical therapist, either Verlene or Sasan. Later visits can be shorter. You see the same therapist as you go.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on your exam, your goals and how you respond. Your therapist tells you what they expect and revisits it as you go. Results vary.
What should I wear and bring?
Loose clothes you can move in, a list of your medicines, and the names of your physician and dentist. We drape or work around clothing when we need to.
Will it hurt?
We work within what you can tolerate. Some techniques feel like pressure or stretch, and some people are sore afterward. Tell us and we change what we are doing.
Do you offer virtual visits?
No. Visits are in person at our office in Englewood.
I was hurt at work or in a car accident. Can you see me?
We do not bill workers' compensation or auto insurance. Tell us about it when you call, and we will tell you whether we are a good fit. If you need emergency care, call 911 first.
What is dry needling, and where is it allowed?
Dry needling uses a thin needle placed in tight muscle. Where state law allows it, physical therapists may use it after specific training, and we explain it before we use it. It is never required.
